In this guide, we will run you through the steps to pair your Bluetooth headphones or external speaker with your Apple Watch. Before we begin, make sure that you are now running the latest version of WatchOS.

Steps to pair your Bluetooth headphones or external speaker with Apple Watch

Step one: First off, you need to get your Bluetooth headphones or external speaker in range with your Apple Watch and make sure that you can see them on other devices

Step two: Once you are done, you now need to click your Digital Crown and launch the Settings app on your Apple Watch

Step three: Once you are in the Settings app, all you have to do now is to tap Settings. Make sure that you have switched on your headset or speaker. If it is now activated, you will see it in the list with the status saying “Not Paired”. You will also see devices you have already registered with your Apple Watch here saying “Not Connected”

Step four: All you have to do now is to tap on the new device to start the pairing process. Once it is done, the text field will switch to Connected.

From now on, you simply need to switch on your headset or external speaker and start playing music, eliminating the need to go back to Settings app and re-pairing it with your Apple Watch.
